Rolling Stones to Rock Living Rooms Around the World in DTS Surround Sound
Rock Out to the Rolling Stones 50th Anniversary Concert Series Finale in Immersive, Room-filling DTS Neural Surround
CALABASAS, Calif. (December 13, 2012) DTS, Inc. (Nasdaq: DTSI), a leader in high-definition audio solutions and audio enhancement technologies today announced that the Rolling Stones 50th anniversary concert series finale, hosted at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, broadcast live on Pay-Per-View (PPV), presented by World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE), will be delivered in DTS Neural Surround, providing viewers around the world the opportunity to experience the concert in 5.1 surround sound with incredible detail.
The Rolling Stones are arguably the most iconic band in rock and roll history and we are excited to present this Pay-Per-View concert celebrating their 50th anniversary in 5.1 surround sound to millions of the bands fans around the world, said Jon Kirchner, Chairman and CEO of DTS, Inc. With DTS Neural Surround, fans of the Rolling Stones are going to hear Mick Jaggers voice, Keith Richards guitar, Charlie Watts drum, Ronnie Woods guitar and the roar of the crowd singing to the music, as if their living room was placed in the middle of the Prudential Center.
DTS Neural Surround provides a new approach to surround sound broadcast productions, enabling a seamless conversion between stereo and surround sound audio through a special capture, edit, management and delivery process. Integrated into hardware by DaySequerra, DTS Neural Surround allows broadcast production teams to preserve the integrity of the 5.1 surround mix while transmitting audio in a stereo format at the highest resolution possible. The technology supports legacy audio codecs and is a low latency solution for editing and monitoring in stereo.

The PPV concert event will air live on Saturday, Dec. 15, at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT through all cable, satellite and telco providers. WWE, the worlds pre-eminent provider of PPV programming, in partnership with Dainty Group and Endemol, will be distributing and marketing the event.
