Rise has announced the winner of its Woman of the Year Award.

The group, which advocates for gender diversity in the media technology sector, has named Megan Mauck as its 2024 winner.

Senior vice president of media operations at NBCUniversal, Mauck began her career at Toyota, as an engineering co-op. In 2006, she joined General Electric's Operational Management Leadership Program, which launched her journey with NBCUniversal. Her career has encompassed a wide range of senior operational and project management roles, leading to her current executive position, in which she leads the company's 24/7 media operations across Los Angeles, Denver and New York.

Rise Awards Woman of the Year, Megan Mauck Overseeing the ingestion, preparation, packaging and distribution of domestic and international content, Mauck is responsible for ensuring delivery across platforms including linear broadcast, secondary distribution, O&O stations, Peacock, SkyShowtime, PVoD and major live events. Her team has been instrumental in enhancing NBCUniversal's quality and productivity across the supply chain, with a focus on automated solutions.

Mauck also serves as board chair for Grades of Green, a non-profit organisation promoting environmental education.

Founder and CCO of Rise, Mark Harrison, commented, During a turbulent time, when so many senior technology and operational leaders have found it difficult to convey clear, let alone inspirational, messages about innovation and strategic business initiatives, she has stood out as a leader for our times.
