BritBox confirms first wave of distribution partners
LONDON, 27th September 2019: BritBox confirmed today that it has agreed distribution deals bringing the service to Samsung TVs, Freeview Play and YouView, reaching millions of homes across the UK.
A partnership has been confirmed with Samsung, which will see the BritBox app hosted on Samsung Tizen TVs* from launch onwards.
Guy Kinnell, Vice President of TV & AV Samsung Electronics UK Ltd said:
We have an ongoing commitment to provide the greatest experience to our customers, including offering the best range of apps currently available. BritBox provides a new way to access the best of British content exactly whenever they want.
The agreement with Freeview Play will see BritBox rolling out on the UK's fastest growing TV platform with over 5 million users following its launch in Q4**.
Through this distribution partnership, the BritBox app will be available on Freeview Play TVs from a wide range of manufacturers, including Sony, Digihome, JVC, Logik, Luxor, Polaroid, Techwood, Toshiba and more. BritBox will also be available via web, IOS and Android mobiles and tablets.

YouView set-top boxes will also be hosting the BritBox app by the end of 2019, making the new streaming service accessible to millions of additional households across the nation.
