Big Shoulders Digital Video Productions, PACSAT, Mills James Add Receive Connections from the Switch

Big Shoulders Digital Video Productions recently added a 1.485Gbps HD-SDI receive connection from The Switch Chicago to its Downtown Production Center. With this new connection, Big Shoulders is now available to support bi-direction Standard and High Definition production needs.

Big Shoulders is one of the country's leading providers of video services to national television networks, TV programs, agencies, and corporations. This year, Big Shoulders has supported over 60 different television shows, while also providing Satellite Media tours and RMT's every week.

Big Shoulders is centrally located in Downtown Chicago on Michigan Avenue in the 99-story iconic John Hancock building. With vistas on three sides, Big Shoulders' 37th floor HD/SD studios offer several Chicago shots to choose from.

In addition to its studio facilities, Big Shoulders maintains an extensive inventory of camera packages and decks in every format including PAL 2K and 4K resolution production to support any recording or play-out requirement. Big Shoulders additionally offers four AVID non-linear editing suites, graphics, and webcast services.

Big Shoulders' staff of videographers, lighting directors, sound technicians, editors, make up and teleprompter services are on hand to support any studio or remote production or post production need.

PACSAT Sacramento Joins The Switch

PACSAT recently added an uncompressed HD-SDI connection from their Sacramento headquarters to The Switch.

Conveniently located in downtown Sacramento, just minutes from the State Capitol and government offices. PACSAT's two studios, which offer single or multi-camera production, are a valuable resource for media makers. Their studios are perfect for live or taped interviews and commercial productions. PACSAT Sacramento offers a wide range of sets and backdrop options including anchor desk, bookcase, cityscapes, plain black as well chroma key. Teleprompter, Make-Up, Green Room and Craft Services are available as well.

PACSAT is also fully prepared to meet play out requirements offering multiple formats ranging from VHS to DV-CAM to Digital Betacam, HD and everything in between.

PACSAT's Post Production Division offers a Final Cut Pro High Definition Suite, as well as Avid Media Composer and Avid Symphony Suites, Autodesk Smoke motion graphics design studio, Maya 3D and ProTools audio recording and mixing suite.

In addition to its studios, play out and post facilities, PACSAT's Production Division can accommodate High Definition and Standard Definition single camera location shoots, as well as multi-camera switched productions with their flyaway pack, which includes a

Mills James Joins The Switch

Mills James recently added a 1.485 Gbps HD-SDI connection from its Columbus, Ohio Teleproduction Center to The Columbus Switch. Mill James Columbus' three sound stages are available to support single and multi-camera production needs. Mills James' Cleveland studio is also available via this new Columbus Switch connection.

In addition to studio live shots, Mills James offers a wide ranges of services including Field Production, Post Production, Visual Effects, Audio Production and Webcast. Mills James has been servicing Broadcast, Corporate, Public Relations and other media clients for 25 years and has in depth experience with occasional and weekly network productions, as well as satellite media tours.

In addition to its Columbus and Cleveland studios, Mills James also offers connectivity from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium. Celebrity Zoo Director Jack Hanna can be interviewed from several exhibits on their property easily through Mills James and The Switch.
