Prolight and Sound Middle East has reported 2,200 visitors attended its 2017 Dubai event, marking a 40% increase from its inaugural show last year.
The show, held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre, finished on October 19, 2018. Visitors came from 50 countries to see 28 exhibitors from nine countries.
The show saw the staging of the first Events Technology and Entertainment Development Forum as well as Dante Certification workshops while an educational track featured government representatives and entertainment professionals.
Ahmed Pauwels, CEO of the show's organiser Messe Frankfurt Middle East, said: The rousing response for the second edition of Prolight + Sound Middle East confirms the tremendous business potential that exists in the booming events and entertainment industry in the region that is waiting to be unlocked. The Middle East, which is now firmly on map as a major destination for international events and a great venue for events with global scale and reach, will continue to be an increasingly significant consumer of the latest AV technology and services.
The 3rd edition of Prolight + Sound Middle East will take place in October 2018.
