Do-it-yourself made easy Do-it-yourself is in fashion at the photokina - this applies not only for the countless photos and videos that are made on the six-day event. That handwork and photography also match perfectly, visitors can see at this years world of imaging in hall 9 and try it for themselves. On the Koelnmesse and on the do-it-yourself special area, organized by the journal Handmade Kultur, in short: DIY@photokina, photokina visitors can let their creativity run free.

DIY@photokina is the meeting point for all DIY fans, bloggers and designers who are interested in creative design around the theme of photography. And who knows - one or the other may discover perhaps hidden (hand work) talents. The journal Handmade Kultur offers interesting workshops and join-in activities that are instructed by creative bloggers and that are showing the complete variety of the do-it-yourself scene. Participate explicitly desired!

On one, during the fair more colorful becoming DIY wall, creative bloggers are presenting their DIY ideas on how great results can be achieved with photos and different materials. Thus it is, at the musician, photographer and blogger Andrea Marquetant from the blog Zuckerimsalz: Build your memory box!. She shows how, own pictures and personal finds beautiful memories for the local wall arise from a deep frame. Completely practical it is also at the blog of Anastasia Baron (blog.kreativbuehne.com). In her workshop, she shows everyone who is having fun with it, how one can easily create a customized camera strap for the hand, made and designed out of Paracord.

That the photo books must not always be created at the computer, Alexandra Renke proves in her Workshops on Photo book scrapbooking. The papeterie and card designer shows and explains how you can conjure up a personalized photo album with different papers and stamping techniques. In another workshop, anyone can can learn how to create a light cube out of photo slides and then afterwards decorated chain of lights - so that your motives reviving in renewed splendor!

The bloggers and creative DIY makers of course are at all times providing help and advice, and answer questions about their hobbies and blogging activities. Joachim Rieger, the Photographer from Cologne, shows in his workshop DIY products set skillfully into scene - photo-tips from professional photographers. how bloggers set their DIY products in an appealing way into scene, so that they are suitable for the blog. In the seminars the questions will be also about how to create meaningful photographs for tutorials and how they can be implemented with simple means.

On the special area DIY@photokina Prophoto GmbH will also be represented with their Crazy framed photo and imaging products, starting with their photo pillow for cameras over Easter-eggs up to personalized camera strap. Since the beginning of the year Prophoto GmbH offers via its homepage www.prophoto-online.com all creative people a forum and also publishes guidance on individual creations.
