FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Kenji Sukeno) is proud to announce the launch of graphite silver and graphite versions of the highly covetable X-T2 and X-Pro2 mirrorless digital cameras.
The elegant FUJIFILM X-T2 Graphite Silver Edition is supplied with stylish tailor-made accessories whilst the FUJIFILM X-Pro2 Graphite Edition includes the compact, fast and lightweight interchangeable lens of the same colour, the FUJINON XF23mm F2 R WR. Luxurious and elegant graphite silver and graphite edition flagship models, finished by hand The iconic Graphite Silver texture and refined shimmer is achieved via a multi-layer coating, which goes through a dedicated and unique process:
1) A matte black undercoat is applied to the die cast magnesium top cover, which delivers deep, rich shadows and colours across the camera body.
2) Using Thin-Film Multilayer Coating Technology*1, the silver texture is then added. The ultra-fine particles of graphite are applied via a high speed, rotating computer-controlled system, to produce an incredibly smooth and elegant feel.
3) The final third layer is a clear, glossy varnish which delivers a luxurious and tactile finish. Finishing touches such as the logo are coloured by hand.
X-Pro2 Graphite Edition The X-Pro2 was released in March 2016 as the flagship model of the X Series, achieving outstanding image quality with Fujifilm's proprietary colour reproduction technology and featuring the worlds one and only Advanced Hybrid Multi Viewfinder, which enables users to instantly switch between the optical viewfinder and electronic viewfinder. The X-Pro2 also features a 24.3MP X-TransTM CMOS III sensor*2 which achieves super high image quality that exceeds what is normally expected from an APS-C sized sensor.
Compared to the graphite silver editions of the current X-T1 and new X-T2, additional black pigment is added to the top coating of this edition, which provides a rich metallic texture perfectly suited to the X-Pro2, a camera optimal for discreet snap-shooting.
The camera is sold together with the FUJINON XF23mm F2 R WR lens and LH-XF35-2 lens hood in the same graphite colour as the body. This particular combination of body and lens further enhances the compact appearance and luxurious feeling of the camera, providing users with a mirrorless digital camera that's a joy to own.
X-T2 Graphite Silver Edition The X-T2 was released later in 2016 as a second flagship model in the X Series. It also uses unique colour reproduction technology and a 24.3MP X-TransTM CMOS III sensor*2 to deliver outstanding image quality. Other headline features include a start-up time of 0.3 seconds, shutter release time lag of 0.045 seconds*3, and a highly accurate AF system that focuses in as little as 0.06 seconds. The X-T2 is notably the first X Series model to support 4K video.
The X-T2 is the ultimate mirrorless digital camera; offering professional i mage quality and superb functionality thanks to its unique technologies. Now available in an exquisite Graphite Silver finish, it's the perfect companion to the most discerning photographer.
The X-T2 Graphite Silver Edition is supplied with stylish tailor-made accessories including a premium leather strap, aluminium hot shoe cover and matching EF-X8 hot-shoe mount flash.
