So the spectacular images of the "camera glamor" of Goya captured Spanish television has first used a super-fast Bolt camera system on a robotic arm ultra high speed to pick up some moments of the red carpet.

Retransmission of Goya have had this year with a new element that has helped give elegance to the red carpet. Spanish television has first used a super-fast Bolt camera system on a robotic arm ultra high speed.

This system combines super slow motion images (captured at high frame rates) with shock acceleration to convey a strong sense of glamor. Star red carpet international awards such as the Golden Globes, the Emmys or the Grammys, for the first time we have seen in Europe a technical deployment with this solution.

The system is based on a robotic arm and two Phantom Flex 4K cameras capturing at speeds between 400 and 1000 frames per second. The arm has six axes which can move at a speed of 5.6 meters per second.

This system has been developed by MRMC (Mark Roberts) and one of the 18 machines that exist around the world is in Madrid, on the set of Alcobendas Hassel who in collaboration with the service company 28 TVE has supported this experience.

The parade of some of the guests on the red carpet were captured at 800 fps when making a striking metallic confetti or soap bubbles captured, for example.

After programming a series of actions, the system is able to reproduce the movements at high speed (can even follow an object in free fall) and collect in just fractions of a second high-speed image once processed became clip about 40 seconds. This material was sent directly to servers EVS XT2 and an editing system Avid Media Composer where they proceeded to introduce effects such as acceleration ramps, speed changes or cutoffs of input and output marked. Ready material immediately passed to the mobile unit where the retransmission of the arrival of guests for airing with really shocking images was performed.

Bolt has a hot head that allows panoramic capture +/- 270 degrees to 315 degrees per second tilt movement +/- 120 degrees and 350 degrees per second and roll with +/- 270 degrees to 870 degrees per second.
