Paris, 13 February 2020 - The MIPTV's Drama Buyers Summit will this year offer international buyers an exclusive first-look at 12 brand-new series from around the world.
The MIPTV's Drama Buyers Summit takes place on Sunday 29 March, ahead of MIPTV, the Global Content Market for the Future that runs in Cannes, France, from 30 March-2 April 2020.
Now in its 5th year, MIPTV's Drama Buyers Summit is an invitation-only showcase designed to meet the growing international demand for high-end drama series. The showcase will present an exclusive first look at a curated selection of the most anticipated international new series in production to 450 leading acquisition executives and commissioners.
The MIPTV's Drama Buyers Summit will open with a networking lunch at the Debussy Theatre (Palais des Festivals). This will be followed by the screening of exclusive 15-minute previews of 12 series in production, selected for their writing and production values, originality, and their worldwide appeal.
The selection has been made with the support of the MIP Drama Buyers Advisory Board, comprised of leading global industry executives with extensive experience in acquisitions, co-productions, and international business development: Ignacio Barrera, SVP, Sales, & Business Development, Telemundo Global Studios (USA); Geraldine Easter, Director of Programming & Acquisitions, Nine Network (Australia); Aline Marrache-Tesseraud, Senior Vice-President, International Original Content Development, Universal Music France (France); Anette Romer, Head of Acquisitions & Formats, TV2 (Denmark); Sarah Wright, Director of Acquisitions, SKY (UK); Viktoria Wasilewski, Head of Content, Amazon Italia Services Srl (Italy).
