South Africans took to social media to complain about the raunchy scenes in Shaka Ilembe when the channel Mzansi Magic and actress Nomzamo Mbatha, who plays Nandi in the drama series shared the trailer this past week.

NOMZAMO MBATHA'S ROLE AS NANDI Isibaya star Nomzamo Mbatha, who plays Queen Nandi, the revered mother of Shaka topped Twitter trends this week after she shared the trailer for the star-studded drama series Shaka Ilembe, which will air on Mzansi Magic in 2023.

While some Tweeps anticipated the trailer, many were taken aback by the sex scenes in the upcoming series as many felt it was too explicit scenes for them to watch with their children or parents.

The drama series is set in the 1700s tells the story of the making of the iconic African king, Sgidi kaSenzangakhona with iterations from his early childhood through to adulthood.

The actress told TshisaLIVE in a statement:

I am honoured to bring the giant that is Queen Nandi to life. History will remember those who informed its people of where we come from, to better understand who we are. I am fortunate to be part of a project that is much bigger than ourselves and to tell this story in our own language. Impi iyeza! expressed Mbatha.

Nice. But they can at least keep the nudity to a minimum We watch most of these shows as a family And I believe this story is told with the sole purpose of educating our people about Shaka's story but it's hard to have to let children watch this story when they are f**king.
