ZEI VR ONE: ZEI VR ONE Expands Its Virtual World

In addition to the Apple iPhone 6, Samsung Galaxy S5 and other models, the ZEISS VR ONE can now be used with the Samsung Galaxy S6. This is made possible by the availability of a new ZEISS tray. "The individual trays ensure that the displays are properly positioned in front of the ZEISS lenses and thus guarantee optimal display quality and a comfortable visual experience," says ZEISS VR ONE Product Manager Franz Troppenhagen.

Ease of use

To use the system, simply place a smartphone in the tray and insert it into the ZEISS VR ONE headset until it locks in position. "With the ZEISS VR ONE, no additional settings are needed," adds Troppenhagen. The high-quality ZEISS lenses ensure that the VR headset always provide the right optics for virtually all users. Complicated manual configuration, e.g. interpupillary distance, is not required. Plus the ZEISS VR ONE is also suitable for eyeglass wearers. "It is precisely here that the expertise behind our ZEISS optics comes into play." states Troppenhagen.

"The Samsung Galaxy S6 features a high-resolution screen (2,560 x 1,440 pixels), making it particularly attractive for ZEISS VR ONE users. The number of applications and possibilities for VR users is enormous and growing. Be it a 3D movie experience, a tour with a realistic 360-degree first person view, or VR gaming, the ZEISS VR ONE displays all VR media with maximum image clarity from center to edge.

Future compatibility with the ZEISS VR ONE

With its affordable, inter-changeable trays, ZEISS ensures the flexibility and variability of the ZEISS VR ONE headset. In order for the VR experience to remain possible in the future, the tray can be economically replaced depending on the smartphone model.

The ZEISS VR world is growing

The ZEISS VR ONE is a mobile VR system that works with smartphones with display sizes between 4.7 and 5.2 inches. The tray for the Samsung Galaxy S6 broadens the system compatibility to a new device. "This makes our VR headset particularly attractive to users of different popular smartphones," says Troppenhagen. The trays can either be purchased with the ZEISS VR ONE or separately from $9.90. Furthermore, computer-aided design (CAD) data is now available to allow users to print their trays on a 3D printer.
