Cardiff, Wales, 5th December 2019 Object Matrix, the leading provider of object storage solutions to the media industry has worked with Orange Prestations TV (OPTV) to further extend its private cloud storage platform. Object Matrix is represented in France by IVORY and the implementation was managed by CTM Solutions.

Faced with an ever-increasing media library, OPTV began an evaluation process to determine the best way of managing that growth. With two MatrixStore object storage clusters already in place, OPTV was keen to determine whether it should extend and optimise that existing storage, move to a cloud workflow, or look to externalise management of the archive.

With complex MAM and API driven workflows, a need for high levels of content security and ensuring future proof access to its archive, OPTV recognised the value brought by the incumbent solutions providers and integrators to fulfill its current and future needs. As such, the decision was made that Object Matrix, combined with its representatives in France, IVORY and CTM Solutions, still provided the best solution to address those needs. Orange Prestations TV has extended one of its existing MatrixStore object storage clusters by one petabyte and added a third MatrixStore cluster to its setup taking the overall footprint to in excess of 5.5 petabytes.
