UK AV suppliers merge for...

UK integrator Pure AV has strengthened its position in the North East of England through a merger with AV reseller Display IT.

Pure AV, based in Preston in the North West of England, will use Display IT's Halifax base as a regional office with the Display IT name to be eventually phased out.

Both companies claim that by merging operations under the Pure AV brand they can improve purchasing power and resources for their customers.

The move comes hot on the heels of Pure AV's appointment as a supplier to the North Eastern Universities Purchasing Consortium framework (NEUPC).

From June 1, 2016, the existing Display IT team will transfer across to become employees of Pure AV and Display IT managing director, Aidan Crowe, joins the management team to become divisional director.

Peter Sutton, managing director of Pure AV, said: Following successful appointment to both the NEUPC and NWUPC the Board recognised the need to develop our existing resources. I have known Aidan for a number of years and believe that Display IT is a good fit for the business. The combined expertise and North East location enhances our capability to support strong and sustainable growth across the North of England and beyond .
