Leader Instruments announces FS 0 and FS 0 broadcast QC analyzers

NAB 2015, Las Vegas: Leader Instruments Corporation has chosen NAB 2015 as the launch venue for a major development in broadcast quality control analysis.

The new FS 3102 analyzer can perform real-time checking of up to four HD-SDI or SD-SDI signal streams. It is designed for use with an SDI to PC plug-in interface board such as the BlackMagic Design DeckLink.

Also being introduced is the FS 3103 software package which allows MXF audio/video media files to be processed quickly and efficiently in significantly less than the file s running time.

A combined system incorporating an FS 3102 and FS 3103 can process up to four files simultaneously in permutations such as one file on FS 3102 and three files on FS 3103; two files on FS 3102 and two on FS 3103; three files on FS 3102 and one on FS 3103; all four files on FS 3102 with none on FS 3103, and so on.

Easy to install and operate, the Leader FS 3102 and FS 3103 provide automatic checking and analysis of image characteristics such as block noise, line noise, image skip, image freeze, edit point errors, lost source, and sequences likely to cause photosensitive epilepsy.

Audio tests include channel noise, timing errors, spurious transients, loudness and lost source. Audio can be analyzed as a waveform display.

Out-of-specification events can be assigned to trigger alarms, greatly increasing the efficiency of live or file-based content monitoring.

The FS 3102 and FS 3013 make their first exhibition appearance on the Leader Instruments stand (C9015, in the Central Hall) at the 2015 National Association of Broadcasters Convention in Las Vegas, April 13-16. Leader will be represented at the show by senior staff from the company s headquarters and regional offices.
