Broadcaster strengthens Africa commitment --

CNN International has announced that it is strengthening its established commitment to the African continent with the launch of a new strand of programming.
The latest addition to the international news network s programming is African Start-Up, which joins African Voices, CNN Marketplace Africa and Inside Africa, exploring the events shaping the African continent as well as the people involved in the African story.
Said Deborah Rayner, vice president and managing editor Europe, Middle East and Africa: As the leading brand on the continent we are proud to continue finding new ways to tell the African story, in all its many dimensions, to our international audiences.
We look forward to this new strand resonating both with African viewers and with viewers around the world. Africa is an important region for us as a global network, and African Start-Up joins a strong stable of great programming.
Airing as a weekly segment and then twice a month for half an hour, African Start-Up follows small and medium-sized enterprise entrepreneurs in different African countries to see how they are working to realise their dreams.
The programme focuses on the entrepreneurs generating ideas, formulating business plans, raising funds and distributing products. Viewers see these businesspersons challenges, setbacks and opportunities as they use their vision and creativity to try and establish something new.
