Cantemo to Showcase Hybrid Cloud Media Aggregation Platform, iconik, at IBC Show

Stockholm, Sweden, 7th September 2017 - Cantemo, a provider of next generation media management solutions, has announced it will be demonstrating its newest solution, iconik, at IBC 2017. The solution will be released in Q4 of this year.

The hybrid cloud media aggregation platform has been designed to create a single hub for global collaborative storytelling by bridging the geographic distances between creative minds. iconik's main purpose is to reduce the complexity surrounding media management, so that creators can spend more time putting their skills to good use and less time searching for content.

As a hybrid solution built natively for the cloud, iconik makes it easy to share content, both internally and with external stakeholders. Proxy workflows limit the need to send Gigabytes of data between servers in different locations, further improving the efficiency of review-and-approve workflows.

Using machine learning techniques, it's possible to discover highly specific video content within iconik. The solution automatically extracts metadata from video content and identifies objects within individual video segments and images to enable instant and accurate search results.

Two separate editions of the solution enable users and organisations to choose which is best suited to their needs and aims. Stakeholders also no longer need to be media professionals to play a role in the creation and approval of content. Non-media centric users of iconik can navigate the solution via a simple user-interface.

The solution can be scaled up instantly and automatically, both in terms of storage capacity, media processing power, and the number of users, with no manual infrastructure changes.

Available as a standalone solution, iconik can also be used as a hybrid cloud extension for Cantemo Portal . A combined solution will then enable content and metadata to be pushed to the cloud-based iconik for sharing based on pre-defined rules, and local production kept within Portal.

Customisable features are a given with Cantemo's newest solution which, like Portal, offers an extensive API and web-hooks for third-party integrations, allowing the customer the opportunity to extend and customise the solution.
