Investing in Education and Empowerment

Technicolor's CSR approach integrates various initiatives to address Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) through educational empowerment. We focus on skill development and upskilling programs for women in the local education system, fostering leadership and enhancing community impact.

In the past financial year, Technicolor India has invested in seven significant projects as part of its CSR efforts, focusing on the education of marginalized communities, particularly underprivileged children and girls. These initiatives emphasized enhancing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics), digital literacy and fostering inclusive learning environments.

The Learning Links Foundation: Fostering Creativity with Innovation Studios

By continuing our CSR synergy with the Learning Links Foundation, we are establishing a new, well-equipped Innovation Studio to foster creativity and technological advancement. This project creates an Innovation Studio in a government-aided school in Bengaluru and continue operational support for the existing studio established as part of the last year's CSR project. These studios serve as experiential learning spaces where students gain rich exposure to STEAM fundamentals, deepening their learning and solving community challenges.

Meghshala Trust: Enhancing Teacher Training & Expanding Educational Impact

Partnering with the Meghshala Trust, we are providing training for government schoolteachers in world-class pedagogy, addressing educational inequality. Meghshala empowers the education system by focusing on teachers and implementing technology-driven solutions with lessons grounded in well-researched pedagogy. This approach fosters crucial learning skills such as creativity, empathy, reflection, active engagement, and critical thinking.

Technicolor believes in quality education as a fundamental right for all children. This initiative supports 25 schools, benefiting 3,000 students with world-class education in government schools in Bengaluru.

ABAI: Empowering Marginalized Youth with Animation, Gaming, and VFX Training Initiatives

In partnership with ABAI, we are committed to empowering marginalized students by providing them with the necessary skills to thrive in the Animation, Gaming, and VFX (AVGC) industry. Our efforts extend beyond skill-building to enhancing the educational infrastructure of 20 colleges catering to underserved communities, benefiting over 350 youth through a diverse range of educational activities such as webinars and workshops.

With a focus on holistic empowerment, ABAI's initiatives strive to create pathways to success for marginalized youth, fostering a more inclusive and vibrant AVGC industry in Karnataka and beyond.

The Akshaya Patra Foundation: Nourishing Minds, Fostering Futures with Mid-Day meal for Children

This program, with thh adage of A nourished India is an educated India, our collaboration with the Akshaya Patra Foundation is unique. We are herein implementing a Mid-Day Meal Program in government schools, ensuring children receive wholesome cooked meals daily to meet their nutritional requirements. This program benefits approximately 733 children, including 533 from Hubli and 200 from Bengaluru government schools.

The primary objective of the mid-day meal scheme is to increase children's physical attendance in school. This program aids concentration and attention during classes, fosters social-emotional stability, and includes activities like advanced reading and comprehension.

Jeevan Dhara: Empowering Youth to Cultivate Artistic Talent and Enhance Well-being

We are supporting art classes for children from marginalized communities through the Jeevan Dhara Project in Mumbai. This initiative aims to empower students with art skills, bolstering their self-confidence, and addressing mental health and stress-related concerns, enhancing their academic performance.

We integrate corporate governance with social responsibility to uphold and expand our commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. Our legal framework not only supports but actively advances our CSR objectives, ensuring that each project not only meets regulatory standards but also aligns with our ethical ambitions to create a fairer, more inclusive world. Through our legal advocacy, we strive to lay down the pathways for more equitable access to resources and opportunities.

Stephanie Fougou, General Counsel, Technicolor Group Through education, skill development, and de-addiction programs, Jeevan Dhara has worked with children, women, and youth in the slums of Cheeta Camp (Mankhurd East), Sathe Nagar (Mankhurd West), and a de-addiction center in Titwala. This project offers art classes to 1,920 children and youth from socio-economically challenged communities, aimed at enhancing their well-being and life skills.
