18 Chefs Compete
The contestants jump right into the competition as Chef Ramsay (Gordon Ramsay) introduces them to their first team challenge. Splitting the chefs into two teams men (blue) vs. women (red) Chef Ramsay asks them to present their signature dishes in front of a live audience. Later, during their first dinner service, the contestants struggle to work together, with Chef Ramsay ultimately kicking one team out of the kitchen.

Walk Of Shame
After an all-night party at Bearclaws, Jess (Zooey Deschanel) and Cece (Hannah Simone) return to the loft to find an old acquaintance. Meanwhile, Coach (Damon Wayans Jr.) doesnt think hes ready to introduce his classy new girlfriend to Nick (Jake Johnson) and Winston (Lamorne Morris).

Fertility Bites
Mindys (Mindy Kaling) fertility clinic opens, but with zero track record in the fertility field, attracting new patients is tougher than she imagined. Meanwhile, at Shulman & Associates, the nurses try to raise money for obese nurses while trying to get to know Dr. Bergdahl (recurring guest star Dan Bakkedahl).

Flirting With Disaster
Frankie (Patricia Heaton) fears that her not-so-innocent remark about Axls (Charlie McDermott) hot friend may have been overheard. Meanwhile, Tag (Jerry Van Dyke) asks Mike (Neil Flynn) to help him study and pass his drivers test so that he can keep his license.

Ian and Shinky Make a Move
After seeing the film Eraserhead, Ian (Tim Carlson) and Shinky (Atticus Mitchell) decide to make their own movie using the security cameras at Brae Vista, forcing a tired Lloyd (Bruce McCulloch) to work overtime trying to figure out what's going on. But when Helen (Tracy Ryan) tries to help out by giving Lloyd some suspiciously effective pep pills, things in Brae Vista start to go seriously off the rails.

Closet? You'll Love it!
Jay (Ed O'Neill) and Claire (Julie Bowen) scramble to shoot a Pritchett Closets commercial in response to their competitors new and catchy ad, but there might be some creative differences between father and daughter. Plus, a peeping-Tom in the neighbourhood keeps using a drone to spy on Gloria (Sof a Vergara) sun-bathing so Phil (Ty Burrell), Luke (Nolan Gould), and Manny (Rico Rodriguez) make it their mission to take it down.
