We are honored to announce that VideoBlocks has been recognized by Washingtonian as one of the DC area's Best Places to Work in 2017! We started off as a little stock footage startup selling DVD's on eBay, and now we've grown into a full-fledged creative content provider with 80 employees.
The online version of the Washingtonian list will come out March 6th, but here's a sneak peek of the article in hard copy:
Around here, we've known for a long time that VideoBlocks isn't quite like other companies. With a wide array of lovable office dogs, an unlimited vacation policy, and a variety of coffee options to set any caffeine-lover's heart aflutter, we know that we're a lucky bunch. Take one look at the people who work here, and you'll know we're anything but normal (see images above).
But above all, we come to work each day inspired, excited, and fully aware of our personal impact on both the company and the creative community. Since launching our stock footage Contributor Marketplace in 2015, we've given back more than $5MM to artists by providing 100 percent commission on sales. And we remain dedicated to making sure that high-quality content is affordable for everyone through our Membership Library. Without our community, we couldn't do what we do so thank you to all our members, contributors, and friends for making VideoBlocks one of DC's Best Places to Work!
