Ross Video puts the IP as a main focus of its technologies Despu s de algunos a os posicion ndose como una empresa con soluciones h bridas para producci n, coqueteando tanto con operaciones SDI como IP, Ross Video apuesta fuerte por el desarrollo de soluciones basadas en IP.
Durante la conferencia de prensa celebrada el primer d a del IBC 2017, el CEO de Ross Video, David Ross, posicion a la empresa presentando el line-up completo que estar en su stand durante la feria.
Desde que adquirimos CoVeloz, en 2016, nos centramos en ofrecer soluciones IP para el mercado, y ahora estamos totalmente preparados para tener una l nea totalmente adaptada a los broadcasters que est n buscando esta migraci n , explic Ross en una entrevista. A pesar del optimismo, el ejecutivo dej atr s que entiende el dilema de los broadcasters en este momento. No me gustar a estar en la piel de los broadcasters ahora. Decidir si va a invertir en IP, o en UHD o en HDR o quedarse con Full HD por SDI y centrarse en el contenido es todo un dilema , reconoci .
Otro punto que qued bien claro durante la presentaci n es que Ross no est enfocada solamente en el mercado de televisi n. La empresa mostr casos de instalaci n funcionando con los principales eventos de eSports del mundo, adem s de instalaciones deportivas, como el Estadio de los Atlanta Falcons que posee una enorme instalaci n de LED basada en el modelo Halo con todo contenido gestionado por sistemas Ross Video.
En el campo de las expectativas, Ross Video, anunci que Graphite, la unidad de producci n todo en uno presentada durante NAB, est lista para entrega. Percibimos que no es s lo las peque as empresas y unidades de producci n que est n interesadas en Graphite, recibimos bastante feedback de grandes broadcasters tambi n , afirm .
Conectividad IP
Ross Video est demostrando en su stand en IBC la compatibilidad de sus productos con los diferentes est ndares de conectividad IP. La intenci n es mostrar la importancia del v deo por IP para los broadcasters y sus aplicaciones para diferentes infraestructuras y flujos de trabajo. Para reforzar esta importancia, la marca ha desarrollado asociaciones y trabajos con organizaciones y est ndares de IP como SMPTE, AIMS, AMWA, VSF, AVNu Alliance, Media Networking Alliance y Audio Engineering Society.
Con la adquisici n de Coveloz el a o pasado, Ross a adi a m s de 30 nuevos expertos en Video Networking para nuestro equipo de ingenier a , dijo David Ross. Los resultados de la adquisici n se est n volviendo visibles con nuestra participaci n en diversos est ndares IP y por la cantidad de pruebas realizadas en todo el mundo , afirm .
La empresa destaca tambi n en el espacio IP Showcase algunas soluciones IP como la herramienta de procesamiento de medios Raptor Edge, el sistema de recursos gr ficos Xpression Graphics y la herramienta de procesamiento de audio Bach, que vino de la adquisici n de Coveloz.
Renderizaci n de recursos gr ficos
La empresa presenta la plataforma Frontier de renderizaci n de recursos gr ficos, producida en sociedad con The Future Group. Utiliza la herramienta de juegos Unreal, de Epic Games, que posee herramientas de renderizado que proporcionan escenarios realistas a trav s de sistemas de part culas, texturas din micas, reflejos y sombras e incluso detecci n de colisiones. Con esta caracter stica, las empresas pretenden optimizar los entornos de estudios virtuales y ofrecer la soluci n Frontier de manera m s completa.
La soluci n trabaja con el sistema de im genes en movimiento de Ross Video, Xpression, que ofrece herramientas para flujos de trabajo y conectividad de datos. La combinaci n entre las dos soluciones garantiza fondos de escenarios realistas y libertad creativa junto con conectividad de datos, programaci n l gica visual y soporte completo para los principales flujos de trabajo.
Graphite
Ross Video tambi n est n dando a conocer nuevas caracter sticas del sistema de producci n todo-en-one Graphite que ahora puede soportar los paquetes gr ficos Rocket Surgery para programas en estudio, noticias y deportes.
Graphite realiza la integraci n de motion graphic en tiempo real Xpression, que posee un n mero de capas casi ilimitado en un solo canal, con la herramienta de procesamiento Ross Carbonite.
Los paquetes se pueden utilizar como out-of-the-box o como un par metro para la personalizaci n. Para la producci n de deportes, Rocket Surgery ha creado un paquete que incluye plantillas para marcadores de f tbol americano, baloncesto, f tbol y hockey. Se puede personalizar para ajustarse al logotipo de un equipo y un sistema de color para asegurar que el aspecto de la marca sea nico. Los complementos como gu as de usuario y aplicaciones Ross Dashboard tambi n est n incluidos para que esta sea una plataforma que eleve las habilidades del usuario.
Para la producci n de noticias, Rocket Surgery ha creado un paquete que incluye cabeceras, GC y gr ficos con cuadros remotos y animaciones.
XPression
El ltimo avance en el software de gr ficos en movimiento en tiempo real XPression consistir en una versi n de 64-bit del software de motor de generaci n de gr ficos XPression. El software XPression de nueva generaci n tambi n incluir la capacidad de importar modelos 3D, luces, c maras y materiales desde Autodesk FBX, as como contenidos de Maxon Cinema4D.
Mediante XPression, utilizando un conjunto de t cnicas Just in Time y almacenamiento en cach que ya hacen posible cargar y generar proyectos muy grandes, la arquitectura de 64 bits permite proyectos XPression incluso m s grandes y m s memoria para almacenar texturas y escenas en cach dirigi ndose hacia los plazos de recuperaci n m s r pidos y fiables de la industria actual.
Por otro lado, Ross Video ha anunciado en IBC 2017 que XPression contar ahora con una edici n port til.
