PARIS, France - Fleurus Presse has partnered with National Geographic to launch the local-language edition of National Geographic Kids magazine in France. The newest edition of National Geographic Kids magazine debuts with the April 2017 issue, launching on March 29. The magazine will be available monthly on newsstands and by subscription.
Aimed at children ages 6 to 14, National Geographic Kids magazine is a photo-driven publication that inspires young adventurers to explore the world around them. Each month, the magazine features colorful stories about animals, people and places, interspersed with fun puzzles, comics, facts and figures. It also includes the popular departments Weird But True, Wild Vacation and Amazing Animals.
Readers will find articles about animals and nature, intriguing facts, comics, games and other news. Young animal- and science-enthusiasts will set off on the adventures of National Geographic explorers, among them extreme photographers, archaeologists and biologists.
We're looking forward to working with Fleurus Presse to introduce the National Geographic brand to kids in France, said Yulia Boyle, senior vice president, international media for National Geographic. Our goal with National Geographic Kids magazine is to inspire kids to learn more about the world, people and cultures through visually rich, interactive, educational and highly entertaining content, full of incredible stories. In doing so, we hope to create the next generation of thoughtful and responsible global citizens and explorers who believe in the power of science, exploration and storytelling to change the world and make it a better place for all people.
We are very excited to launch one of the most loved children's magazine in France and bring the National Geographic world to the entire family. Thanks to its unique positioning in France, National Geographic Kids magazine will ignite children's questioning and fascination with nature, animals and the world through reading, said Olivier Bramly, general manager of Fox Networks Group, France.
The magazine will have all that a curious and adventurous young mind needs to discover the world. Through National Geographic Kids magazine, Fleurus Press wants to give the opportunity to children to understand the world says Emmaunel Mounier, CEO of Fleurus Presse and Unique Heritage. We are really proud to launch National Geographic Kids magazine in France: This new magazine and Fleurus Presse share the same values and both are passionate about creating qualitative and entertaining products.
