RTI Now Shipping T2x Wireless Controller Fifth-Generation Remote Features Three Built-In Wireless Modes, Grip Sensors, Accelerometer, and Edge-to-Edge Touchscreen SHAKOPEE, Minn. Sept. 5, 2013 Remote Technologies Incorporated (RTI) announced today that it is now shipping the fifth generation of its popular T2 wireless control interface: the T2x. In addition to a thinner, sleeker, and more ergonomic design, the T2x adds a number of innovative new features to take the user experience to unprecedented levels.

The T2x features a flush-mount, edge-to-edge 2.8-inch color TFT LCD touchscreen interface that is completely customizable via RTIs Integration Designer software, while providing users with improved gesture support for actions such as swiping through scrolling lists. The unit is bolstered with 47 programmable hard buttons for common control functions, integrated grip sensors to wake up the remote, and an accelerometer to provide the convenience of movement control.

For the ultimate in control flexibility, the T2x includes three built-in wireless modes. In addition to integrated 802.11b/g wireless Ethernet, the controller features RTIs revolutionary dual-RF platform, which supports both 433-MHz RF for one-way control and 2.4-GHz ZigBee for bidirectional communication with RTI processors and supported third-party electronics. The T2x includes support for programming updates via the wireless LAN, and offers standalone IR control with a broad IR transmitting frequency range.
