IBC 04 Preview: Custom Consoles to promote latest Media Wall, Module-R, EditOne and System Two at IBC04

The latest version of Custom Consoles Media Wall multiscreen mounting system makes its first European-mainland appearance at IBC2014, Amsterdam, September 12-16. Exhibiting on stand 8.A20, Custom Consoles will additionally display a television production gallery desk based on the established Module-R range of technical furniture. Also being promoted at IBC2014 will be the recently developed EditOne and SystemTwo desk series. The company will be represented by Neil Reed (Managing Director), Graham Buchanan (Commercial Director) and Gary Fuller (Sales Manager).

Media Wall

Media Wall allows flat-screen monitor displays of practically any width to be constructed from standard horizontal and vertical support elements. The latest version incorporates a series of improvements including narrower front-to-back depth, reduced from 600 to 500 millimetres. Like its predecessor, the new version is fully self-supporting and retains the option of adding coupling brackets directly to the studio wall.

Freely adjustable horizontal and vertical screen spacing replaces the former discrete-mount mounting holes. This allows individual display screens to be positioned so that their edges meet exactly to form a continuous horizontal monitorscape limited only by the boundary of the display itself.

Cable management within Media Wall is now along a PVC tray. All wiring is fully concealed and can enter or leave the structure at any desired point. Integral mains distribution units are available as an option.

Custom Consoles own-design VESA mounts allow easy front access when mounting small screens to Media Wall.

Media Wall incorporates height-adjustable horizontal beams suspended between 2.3 metre high aluminium columns. Equipment pods with 19 inch racking behind removable vented panels can be incorporated at floor-level.

Media Wall is available in a silver-anodised or black-powder coated finish and in any specified element widths.

Module-R control room furniture

A mix-and-matchable control room furniture system, the Module-R product range allows aesthetically attractive and long-life desks to be configured to meet specific shapes and dimensions from a selection of high-quality pods, base sections, 19 inch rack housings, worktops, end-panel modules and legs. Co-ordinated desk pods are available as single-bay sections with up 10U chassis capacity.

EditOne desks

Developed for use in video editing suites, broadcast graphics areas and audio studio control rooms, Custom Consoles EditOne desks go beyond the traditional rectangular configuration by using sculpted MDF support panels rather than metal legs. The curved theme is carried through to the desktop and a raised monitor shelf. Integral equipment pods are provided. An auxiliary equipment pedestal with an additional 11U of rack space and an integral worktop is available. Designed for flat-pack delivery, the desk can be assembled in less than an hour using the supplied Allen key and screwdriver.

System Two

SystemTwo is a multi-element furniture system designed to accommodate free-standing or pod-mounted equipment such as graphics workstations and editing terminals. The SystemTwo range includes the S2-01B desk and S2-02B shelf, both electrically adjustable in height from 660 to 1,250 millimetres.
