Amazon Expands in Ohio with Monroe Fulfillment Center

New facility will employ more than 1,000 associates

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sep. 18, 2017-- Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced plans to open its fourth Ohio fulfillment center in Monroe, which will create more than 1,000 full-time positions. The company recently announced an upcoming fulfillment center in North Randall, and it currently operates fulfillment centers in Etna and Obetz. Additionally, there are more than 65,000 authors, sellers, and developers in Ohio growing their businesses and reaching new customers via Amazon products and services.

Associates at the one-million-square-foot facility will pick, pack and ship larger customer items such as sports equipment, gardening tools, and pet food.
