Sharjah Government Media Bureau Hosts Iftar for Staff...

WE ARE KEEN TO BOLSTER EMIRATE'S MEDIA PRESENCE AND MESSAGE, WORK CLOSELY WITH GOVERNMENT ENTITIES: SGMB DIRECTOR ALLAY

Under the leadership of HE Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, the Sharjah Government Media Bureau (SGMB) last evening (Tuesday) hosted a grand Iftar banquet for the staff of government entities and members of the media at Al Majaz Amphitheatre in Sharjah. Senior Sharjah government figures, sheikhs, heads of departments, intellectuals, members of media and support sponsors attended the lavish Iftar banquet.

The Iftar by the SGMB, the media and communication arm of the Government of Sharjah, comes at the head of the successful Sharjah Ramadan Majlis dialogue series, which saw the participation of a galaxy of senior ministers, officials, scholars and experts debating a host of issues and social challenges facing the region and the Arab world.

Speaking on the occasion, HE Tariq Saeed Alay, Director of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau, said: We are pleased to gather with you today at this Iftar banquet as one family, in line with the values of the holy month of Ramadan and the Sharjah Government Media Bureau's efforts to strengthen communication with all government entities and the media.

The SGMB Director added: Every year, we seize the opportunity presented by the holy month to meet you all at this Iftar evening coinciding with the Ramadan Majlis, which we hosted this year in partnership with Sharjah Media Corporation pursuing our shared media objectives.

Allay emphasised that as part of its mission, the SGMB has been making all efforts possible and using all means available to implement the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to strengthen the Emirate's media presence and bolster its communication.

As a media institution that has been tasked with the responsibility of disseminating Sharjah's media message, we ensure our commitment to supporting the Emirate's efforts and highlighting its initiatives and achievements that have earned it a distinguished reputation regionally and globally, he asserted.

Allay thanked HH Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the visionary leadership and guidance. He also thanked Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah Media Council, for his constant support. On this occasion, selected heads of government entities, members of staff and partners were honoured for their contribution and support.

The Sharjah Ramadan Majlis has been supported by Sharjah Media Corporation, AGMC-BMW, the Etisalat Award for Arabic Childrens Literature, and Al Joory Trading LLC.
