KDDI to release new INFOBAR model with elegant design at is comfortable to hold

KDDI and Okinawa Cellular have announced plans to release the INFOBAR A03 smartphone, the latest model in the INFOBAR series, which is known for its unique design perspective and features such as the distinctive prototypical NISHIKIGOI color scheme. The new model, which will support au VoLTE, carrier aggregation, and WiMAX 2+, is scheduled to be released in mid-February 2015.

In addition to the red-based NISHIKIGOI color scheme that is characteristic of the INFOBAR series, three new colors are available for the INFOBAR A03: refreshing POOL blue, elegant MOCHA BROWN, and cute SAKURA IRO pink. Featuring an aluminum body with beautiful rounded edges and a 4.5-inch display, the new model boasts an elegant feel that fits comfortably in the hand. The iida UI, which provides comfortable operation that is unique to INFOBAR, has been further simplified for greater ease of use. Furthermore, when using the desktop holder to charge the INFOBAR A03, the screen displays a stylish clock that is designed to complement the users interior decor.

A variety of accessories designed to enhance user enjoyment of the INFOBAR A03 are also available in the au +1 collection of official au accessories, including clear covers that let the original device color shine through, as well as book-type cases and touch pens that provide the sensation of using of elegant notepad.

In addition, new original items that broaden the INFOBAR design perspective have been developed in collaboration with Isetan Mitsukoshi Ltd. (Head office: Shinjuku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Hiroshi Onishi), which is famous for consistently pushing the frontiers of fashion. The au x ISETAN INFOBAR Special Package, which includes a walnut wood stand created for Isetan by Maruni Wood Industry Inc. (Hiroshima) and a book-type case created by fashion brand min perhonen, is available along with items designed by the popular MUVEIL brand and numerous other exclusive original products created in collaboration with notable designers.

To celebrate the release of the INFOBAR A03 smartphone, DIGITAL LIFESTYLE 2015 TOKYO, an event featuring exhibits from the forefront of digital technology and fashion, will be held from February 11 to February 16, 2015 at the Isetan store in Shinjuku (Tokyo). A walk rally campaign will also be held during the event period, offering gifts to visitors who go to both au SHINJUKU and the Isetan store in Shinjuku.

The INFOBAR A03 smartphone will go on display from January 20, 2015 at au SHINJUKU (Shinjuku, Tokyo), au NAGOYA (Sakae, Nagoya), au OSAKA (Umeda, Osaka), and au FUKUOKA (Tenjin, Fukuoka).
