New presenters join ITV Breakfast

ITV today announces a new presenting team set to join the ITV Breakfast roster of talent later this year.

Susanna Reid, Ben Shephard, Charlotte Hawkins and Sean Fletcher will be joining the channel as ITV's main weekday presenters between 6.00am and 8.30am, on ITV's newly named breakfast show, Good Morning Britain.

Lorraine Kelly will now be at the helm of her own show, Lorraine, between 8.30am and 9.25am, five days a week.

Aled Jones will present a new weekend morning show, Weekend, between 8.30am and 9.25am starting later this year. Read press release.

Our overriding aim is to continue to improve our breakfast programming for our viewers and we have been working for some time behind the scenes developing the next chapter of our offering.

Engaging, news driven content is our number one priority and will be at the heart of everything we do on Good Morning Britain. I believe we have a top team in place to deliver this and make this a compelling proposition to wake up to in the morning.

Presenter biogs

Susanna Reid

Susanna Reid has been a journalist for almost 20 years, beginning her career at BBC Radio Bristol, before moving to BBC Radio 5 live and joining BBC News 24.

Having been a regular presenter on BBC Breakfast since 2003, Susanna has covered many of the major new stories of the past decade including the Japanese Tsunami, the capture of Saddam Hussein and the engagement of the Prince of Wales to Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Susanna has also interviewed many political figures including Prime Minister David Cameron, as well as presenting live from the Oscars in Hollywood.

Susanna recently reached the final of Strictly Come Dancing and as part of BBC's Sport Relief, ran and completed the London Marathon in 2012.

Ben Shephard

Ben has been a familiar face on ITV for nearly 15 years. Joining the channel in 2000, Ben fronted GMTV for 10 years, as well as presenting popular entertainment shows The Xtra Factor and more recently, Tipping Point. Ben has also hosted Sky Sports Champions League, Goals on Sunday and League Cup coverage.

An accomplished broadcaster, Ben has interviewed the great and good from the world of politics, entertainment and sport, including Prime Minister David Cameron and former Prime Minister Gordon Brown, global superstars including Madonna and Angelina Jolie and sportsmen such as Fabio Capello, Steven Gerrard and the England Rugby Team.

Ben is also a keen sportsman having completed 14 marathons, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and ran coast to coast for charity in both 2009 and 2011.

Sean Fletcher

Sean joins ITV Breakfast after more than ten years of broadcasting at the BBC and Sky in sports, news and documentaries.

Before presenting on Sky Sports News, Sky News and Sky Sports rugby coverage, Sean fronted sport on BBC One's Weekend 10 O'Clock News, the BBC News Channel and BBC World News, as well as being a news reporter and presenter for BBC London, BBC Breakfast, and the BBC One O'Clock News.

Travelling around the world, Sean has covered a variety of sport from the FIFA World Cup in South Africa, to filming documentaries in Jamaica, the USA and Italy, as well as

events ranging from the Six Nations Championship to Wimbledon and the Grand National.

Charlotte Hawkins

Charlotte's broadcasting career has spanned nearly 15 years, presenting most recently alongside Eamonn Holmes on Sky's Sunrise.

Joining ITN in 1999, Charlotte was one of the first journalists at the Paddington rail crash, reporting live from the scene. In 2000 she moved to ITV Meridian where she went on to co-anchor its main news programme Meridian Tonight as well as presenting a number of regional documentaries.

Charlotte joined Sky News in 2007 and has covered several major breaking stories including the developing flight disruption due to volcanic ash, the Israeli air strikes in Gaza and the guilty verdict in the Josef Fritzl trial. She was also live on location for Sky News 2010 General Election coverage.

Charlotte has appeared on ITV's This Morning as a news reviewer.
