La aportaci n de las mujeres a la creaci n del cine latinoamericano es el eje fundamental de un nuevo ciclo organizado por la Foundation SGAE en la Sala Berlanga (Andr s Mellado, 53. Madrid). Desde hoy, lunes 21 de abril al 1 de mayo, tendr lugar la muestra Directoras latinoamericanas, que acerca a Madrid once t tulos de 2013 dirigidos por mujeres al otro lado del oc ano, procedentes de Venezuela, Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Chile, Uruguay, Brasil y M xico.
Se trata, a excepci n de tres filmes (Pelo Malo, de Mariana Rond n; The German physician, de Luc a Puenzo y Pens que iba a haber fiesta, de Victoria Galardi) que han sido estrenadas recientemente, de pel culas in ditas en Espa a: Se oritas, de Lina Rodr guez; Princesas rojas, de Laura Astorga; Habi, la extranjera, de Mar a Florencia lvarez; El verano de los peces voladores, de Marcela Said Cares; Tanta agua, de Ana Guevara y Leticia Jorge; Elena, de Petra Costa; Los ins litos peces gatos, de Claudia Saint-Luce y The future, de Alicia Scherson.
Pelo Malo, de Mariana Rond n (Venezuela), que se alz con la Concha de Oro en la 61 edici n del Festival de Cine de San Sebasti n, narra la historia de un ni o incomprendido y marginado debido a su car cter afeminado. The German physician, de Luc a Puenzo (Argentina), nominada a los Premios Goya como Mejor pel cula hispanoamericana, y galardonada en los festivales de Cannes y de La Habana (Premio Especial del Jurado), cuenta el viaje de un m dico por el desierto, en una caravana, junto a una familia argentina en la regi n m s desolada de la Patagonia. Y Pens que iba a haber fiesta, de Victoria Galardi (Argentina), es una comedia dram tica que gira alrededor de la amistad y que interpretan Elena Anaya y Valeria Bertuccelli.

For its part, Se oritas, primer largometraje de Lina Rodr guez (Colombia), describe las relaciones personales de Alejandra, una joven bogotana, con su sobreprotectora madre, sus amigas y sus ocasionales parejas; un acercamiento al universo femenino. Princesas rojas, de Laura Astorga (Costa Rica), incluida en el Festival de La Habana entre las peras primas, se centra en el personaje de Claudia, que pretende liderar una revoluci n secreta durante el periodo Sandinista de los a os ochenta.
Habi, la extranjera, de Mar a Florencia lvarez (Argentina), supone la b squeda de la identidad de Anal a, una chica de provincia de 20 a os de edad, en su viaje a Buenos Aires. La pel cula se present en la 15 edici n del Bafici y en la Berlinale. El verano de los peces voladores, de Marcela Said Cares (Chile), ha pasado por los festivales de Cannes, Mar de Plata y La Habana, y cuenta las vacaciones en el sur de Chile de la familia de Manena, una joven de 17 a os.
Tanta agua, de Ana Guevara y Leticia Jorge (Uruguay), tras acudir a los festivales de Italia y Costa Rica, llega a la Sala Berlanga para narrar las vacaciones de un padre divorciado con sus dos hijos, en las cuales nada sale como estaba planeado, en primer lugar, porque llueve casi todo el tiempo.
Elena, de Petra Costa (Brasil), es una personal obra que narra la vida de una joven brasile a que persigue su sue o de ser actriz viajando a Nueva York; y Los ins litos peces gatos, de Claudia Saint-Luce (M xico), una de las participantes en el 28 festival internacional de Mar de del Plata, desarrolla las vivencias de dos compa eras de una habitaci n de hospital: una veintea era internada por apendicitis, y Martha, matriarca de una familia de tres hijas y un hijo de tres padres distintos, y enferma terminal de HIV.
Finalmente, El futuro, tercer largometraje de Alicia Scherson (Chile), fue estrenada en festivales internacionales como Sundance y Rotterdam, as como en salas de Chile e Italia, y cuenta el descenso social y moral que sufren dos hermanos despu s de que sus padres mueran en un accidente de coche.
