Held every two years, the Koblenzer Tag is a not-to-be missed event for the defence and security community in Germany and beyond. The 13th edition on 4-5 April this year was a unique opportunity for Thales to showcase the sheer breadth of its technology expertise at the countrys biggest exhibition of products and services of its kind.

Visitors to this years Koblenzer Tag had a chance to see Thales solutions up close and find out about the Groups expertise and potential for innovation applied to different segments of the defence and security market. The central focus was our ability to tailor our solutions to the specific needs of customers, meeting todays defence and security challenges while at the same time leveraging constructive interactions between industry, solution providers and users themselves.

Resilient, reliable communications In the naval communications field, Thales focused on its SHF satcom solution, the FOCON IP and SAGD shipboard communication systems, and a complete range of support solutions. For land forces and security services, the stars of the show were the all-new SYNAPS software radio family and advanced waveforms, satcom solutions featuring the market-leading Thales anti-jam modem and the new Satcom on the Move solution, with the NEXIUM family of solutions illustrating the benefits of the latest system architectures and network capabilities. A special presentation featured the complete Thales service offering for Germanys SEM radios through 2035 including lifecycle extension and obsolescence management.

Air, land and sea Additionally, this latest edition of the Koblenzer Tag event covered other aspects of Thaless comprehensive offering of air, land and maritime defence and security solutions, from optronic sensors, radars and sonars to C4I, from cybersecurity and cryptography to training and simulation.

The invitation-only event was held at the Thales site in Koblenz. Guests appreciated the networking opportunities and the chance to see for themselves how Thales is meeting the long-term needs of the defence and security sector.
