Broadcast RF were at the forefront of a very busy weekend that consisted of five HD helicopter downlink systems being used for coverage of the FA Cup Final at Wembley Stadium for both ITV and ESPN, an aerial commercial shoot in London, Manchester United's final home fixture under Sir Alex Ferguson and the Manchester United Victory Parade.

On Saturday, two helicopters, both supplied by Arena Aviation, were used to capture the stunning scenes as Wembley Stadium saw Wigan Athletic take on Manchester City, in what was arguably the best FA cup final in decades. History was re-written as a 1-0 win for Wigan marked their first major trophy in over 80 years, an unbelievable result given their relegation status in the Premier League.

On the other side of London a third Arena Aviation helicopter took to the skies for a commercial shoot at a building adjacent to the River Thames.

On Sunday, one of the aircrafts helicopter made its way to Manchester, for the aerial coverage of Manchester United's final home fixture under Sir Alex Ferguson. This occasion saw seas of red flood Old Trafford for his 723rd time in charge since managerial appointment over 26 years ago. A 1-0 win capped a perfect conclusion to the managerial reign of Sir Alex, as he lifted the Premier League Trophy for a 13th time.

Then, on Monday, a HD helicopter downlink system was used for the fifth time in the space of three days to show Manchester from a bird's eye view, as it was coated in red for the Manchester United Premier League Victory Parade. With a duration of over 45 days spent in total on the side lines watching his team play, Sir Alex Ferguson will soon be replaced by David Moyes, as Manchester United turn a new page and look forward to a new era of football.
