Bomb Productions fashion telenovela, House of Zwide pulled an impressive 5.1 million views and overtook Skeem Saam and Generations: The Legacy.

ETV FASHION DRAMA DETHRONES SKEEM SAAM' Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela confirms that the e.tv fashion drama House of Zwide became the top-rated show in the 7pm timeslot in October by reaching over 5 million viewers and dethroning Skeem Saam and Generations: The Legacy.

House Of Zwide beats Skeem Saam and Generations The Legacy. The et.v show has set its own new record by pulling over 5.1-million viewers on 23 October 2023. This makes #HouseOfZwide the top-rated show in its timeslot across all South African channels , said Mphela.

The BRCSA figures prove that the fashion drama increased its viewership by ten percent as it received 4.1 million viewers in September 2023.

The September 2023 figures also reveal Skeem Saam lost some of its viewership between July and September as went from 5 million viewers in July to 4 million in September.

SABC1's long-running soapie Generations: The Legacy received 4.1 million viewers between July and September 2023.

HOUSE OF ZWIDE' CURRENT STORYLINE House of Zwide trended for days on end in October when actor and TV host Kat Sinivasan to portray the role of Zanele Zwide's (Londeka Mchunu) abusive partner, Zola.

Zola came into the scene as the ultimate dream boyfriend, who swept Zanele off her feet with all the romantic tactics then started showing some red flags.

Viewers saw him snap, being possessive and controlling Zanele, who eventually had to quit her job at her family's fashion company, House of Zwide.

Legendary actress Winnie Ntshaba, who plays Zanele's mother tells Youth Village: I pray this storyline served as a mirror to expose the dangers of being with a narcissist.
