JIM LANZONE: MY THOUGHTS ON JOINING THE GOPRO BOARD OF DIRECTORS

I am honored to be appointed to the GoPro board of directors-a group of talented leaders working to guide this brand and company to a bright future full of cutting-edge innovation and fun. As both an internet entrepreneur and executive, I've been fortunate to lead companies to periods of high growth on the back of industry-leading innovations. I hope to lend that experience to Nick Woodman and his incredible GoPro team.

I currently serve as the Chief Digital Officer of CBS Corporation, home of America's No. 1 television network, as well as venerated media brands like Showtime, CBS Sports, CBS News and Simon & Schuster. I also act as CEO of CBS Interactive, the seventh largest internet property in the United States, which includes properties such as CBS All Access, CBS Sports Digital, CBS News Digital, CNET and more than a dozen others. Prior to CBS, I was co-founder and CEO of Clicker Media (acquired by CBS in 2011) and CEO of Ask.com (formerly Ask Jeeves), a leading search engine acquired by IAC/InterActiveCorp in 2005. My entire career has been spent connecting internet consumers with the content they crave. GoPro is an amazing new way to continue to pursue that passion.

From helping to create the first new Star Trek series in almost two decades to streaming the Super Bowl and Grammy Awards to covering the hottest new gadgets at the Consumer Electronics Show, I have one of the most fun and interesting jobs I can imagine. My kids, on the other hand, think GoPro is the coolest thing I've ever done-particularly my son, who is captain of his high school robotics team, which employed a HERO6 as the visual guidance device for their underwater robot in the state tournament last season.

To me, everything about GoPro symbolizes adventure. GoPro possesses an incredibly powerful brand, passionate userbase and committed team delivering world-class products and solutions that enable the world to capture and share itself. With four new cameras introduced in 2018 and many more in the product pipeline, it's a very exciting time to be part of the GoPro community.

I'm looking forward to working with this board of directors to help GoPro provide value to all its stakeholders.
