Winners Announced In REDirect Award-Winning TV Production Company Deepens Talent in Original ProgrammingI

RED Digital Cinema , in partnership with Outside Television, has announced Isaac Sokol's Into Dust as the winning short film in this year's edition of the REDirect Explore competition. Second place went to Jesse Hoffman for The Process, and Joey Schusler's Pedal to Peaks won the Fan Favorite category.

On the heels of REDirect Skate and Surf, the Explore series certainly did not disappoint, said RED Digital Cinema President Jarred Land. Into Dust really captured the essence of REDirect-combining beautiful cinematography with powerful storytelling. Congratulations to him and every one of the contestants for their submissions.

The third annual REDirect contest celebrated the exploration of the outside world with eight hand-selected cinematographers from around the globe challenged to create a captivating, outdoor adventure lifestyle story.

RED and Outside Television hosted a private event at RED Studios Hollywood last night to commemorate this year's contest. The short films were screened in a 4K theater followed by the awards presentation.

Sokol was awarded the REDirect Explore Grand prize package, worth over $35,000. The package included a custom-engraved RED SCARLET-W camera system, a full suite of RED camera accessories, four Zeiss Milvus lenses, 48TB G-Technology, G-Speed Shuttle XL Drive, 1-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud, a foolcontrol camera app license, and an f-stop Shinn camera bag.

Hoffman's second place prize was a SCARLET-W camera BRAIN, and Schusler earned a tripod from BENRO for receiving the most Likes' on REDs 4K YouTube Channel, Shot on RED.

RED and Outside TV appointed a diverse judging panel, comprised of industry experts and previous REDirect participants, who collectively selected the first and second place winner.
