Chunghwa Telecom Upgrades to VCAS Ultra from Verimatrix to Secure New Premium UHD/4K Services

NAB Show 2018, Las Vegas, Apr. 9, 2018 (Booth #SU7102) - Verimatrix, a specialist in securing and enhancing revenue for network-connected devices and services, announced today that its long-standing customer Chunghwa Telecom has upgraded to VCAS Ultra , the latest generation of the Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS ). Chunghwa Telecom is the largest telecommunications company in Taiwan and has relied on the VCAS architecture to provide a complete, integrated suite of solutions for secure video delivery since 2012. Now, as Chunghwa Telecom expands its multimedia on demand (MoD) offering to include UHD/4K streaming, it has deployed VCAS Ultra to secure new delivery models and support next-generation services and technology.

It features enhanced content security profiles to meet MovieLabs' defined UHD service requirements-including fully integrated multi-network VideoMark watermarking technology, as well as TEE support.
