The heartwarming dramedy, Starring and Executive Produced by Hend Sabry
Netflix, the worlds leading internet entertainment service, announced a new deal with the super-star Hend Sabry starring in a new Arabic original series (untitled project). Netlifx's new heartwarming drama-comedy will also feature Hend Sabry for the first time as an Executive Producer by her company SALAM Production.
We are excited to work with Hend Sabry, one of the Arab world's most iconic actresses, who won the hearts of Arab audiences throughout her career. Hend's new show is a female-focused story that we are sure fans will connect with. Said Ahmed Sharkawi, Director of Arabic Original Series at Netflix I am excited to work on a female-focused show, with Netflix, I am also thrilled about my first experience as an executive producer and how with Netflix we can create content that features stories from the Arab world and to be seen by the world, commented Hend Sabry
Hend Sabry is a multi-award winning actress and the first Arab Woman to serve as a jury member in the 2019 Venice Film Festival. She is also a fashion icon, a UN goodwill ambassador for the WFP. Hend collaborated with Netflix on Because She Watched campaign to curate an inspirational film collection on the service.
The new show is expected to be filmed in Egypt, and production is expected to start in fall 2020.

SALAM PROD. is Hend Sabry's production company. established in Cairo in 2015, SALAM's first co-production was the awarded Tunisian movie Flower of Aleppo directed by Ridha Behi and starring Hend Sabry. SALAM PROD. aims to produce and support independent Arab talents and content, as well as unique projects like the upcoming Netflix venture.
