Seven Ningbo enterprises approved by Sino-US joint verification

The 2015 Sino-US C-TPAT joint verification work was completed on September 29, and seven enterprises in Ningbo received the "joint certificate" from Ningbo Customs and became the official partnership member of the international supply chain.

C-TPAT, the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, is a Sina-US joint verification program officially launched in 2010, which guarantees the overall supply chain security by jointly establishing a security administration system for the supply chain. The Chinese enterprises can apply for and receive the verification as overseas producers or suppliers for US importers. The C-TPAT has strict security requirements for the suppliers production, shipping and storage as well as the security awareness of the working staff of the enterprises concerned.

On September 15, the Ningbo Customs officers and US Customs representatives conducted a field inspection of Poyijim Jewelry Co. Ltd., the first Ningbo enterprise that applied for the verification. They made a joint on-spot assessment of the factory floor, workshops, warehouses and the assembly line, the related regulations and rules, as well as the security of the supply chain. Finally, the enterprise passed the assessment and became the first enterprise in Ningbo to pass the C-TPAT verification.

The approved enterprises will possess competitive edges and brand security and enjoy such customs clearance facilitations as credit clearance, priority inspection, and specialized guidance. Since the launch of the joint verification in 2010, a total of 29 Ningbo enterprises has approved the verification.
