Camera Corps Makes Major Investment in Expanded Inventory posted: 13/02/2016
Company Updates Fleet of products in Support of Upcoming Prestigious Projects and Showcases New Acquisitions and More at BVE2016
Camera Corps, the broadcast industry's leading supplier of exceptional special camera systems, have announced a major investment in equipment to support their upcoming slate of prestigious projects. The expanded offering will bring an unrivaled range of equipment to the company's customers. The investment, totaling 1.2 million pounds, covers an array of assets, including 40 new specialist cameras, lenses, and state-of-art remote camera heads.
We deploy a range of solutions to support many of the world's highest profile sporting events and most watched reality television projects, said Barry Parker, commercial manager for Camera Corps. Our clients demand and deserve the best that production technology has to offer, and Camera Corps continues to remain a step ahead, offering a vast array of fully updated products. As we assess the needs of our broadcast clients and ready ourselves for our major commitments in the short term, principally for this summer in Rio de Janiero, we know we must also refresh our asset base to meet and exceed all of our customers' requirements longer term, particularly as we move towards higher resolution content capture.
The one million-plus pound acquisition includes Hitachi DK-H100s, a high-performance special application HDTV camera, Toshiba IK-HD5H mini cams, and the latest Antelope Pico mini slow motion systems, making Camera Corps the first company to offer the Pico product as a rental offering in the U.K.
Camera Corps' investment also includes new Fujinon broadcast lenses to compliment the Hitachi DK-H100s cameras, as well as new Egripment 205 and 306 remote heads which can carry a huge selection of cameras as they continue to evolve in the future. Lastly, new monitors from Samsung and Bon have been purchased to create a complete and compelling selection of equipment, all able to integrate into the existing, world renowned Camera Corps control system.
This new equipment is a real game changer for us and will keep Camera Corps in a position to service large events for our existing customer base, while also attracting new clients in all genres, especially those productions looking for something new and an efficient overall package of special cameras, noted Parker.
Camera Corps is part of Bexel Global Broadcast Solutions, the preeminent worldwide provider of broadcast services. Camera Corps' reputation is unparalleled, and this significant fleet investment will only serve to strengthen the company's standing, commented Richard Satchell, managing director of Bexel Global's EMEA division. We brought five world-class companies together under one umbrella last year, to put an entire spectrum of solutions into the hands of our customers. This expansion of the Camera Corps equipment roster is another important part of our commitment to delivering the best possible offerings to our clients.
Camera Corps will be showcasing several of the company's latest acquisitions at BVE 2016, held 23-25 February in London. Among the offerings on display will be the Antelope Pico mini SSM system, a variety of 4K cameras, and Litepanels' latest Astra LED panel working into the company's existing data control system, as well as a range of Egripment heads to demonstrate a full sample of products Camera Corps has available for rental. The company will also be exhibiting a selection of existing in-house products, including the Q3 remote head and mini zoom, a section of the latest mini Q tracking system, and innovative products such the latest stump cams and Meerkat right angled mini cam.
Camera Corps special camera equipment and project teams have recently worked on the Rugby World Cup 2015, Australian Open Tennis Championships, Isle of Man TT, Cricket World Cup, and popular reality shows in the U.K., Australia and South Africa.
