Kansas City Current and Scripps Sports Announce ION as Broadcast Home of 2026 Teal Rising Cup

The Kansas City Current and Scripps Sports have announced that ION will broadcast the 2026 Teal Rising Cup, presented by Visit Missouri. ION will carry all four matches of the tournament and provide a five-hour broadcast window each evening, including a wraparound studio program. ION is available on pay TV, connected TV, free ad-supported streaming platforms, and over-the-air in 126 million homes.

Kansas City Current broadcasters Jillian Carroll Letrinko and Dave Borchardt will call the matches. NWSL on ION hosts Sebastian Salazar and Lisa Carlin will serve as pitchside reporters.

The tournament will be held at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City on April 9 and 12, with doubleheaders on both days. The four teams are the Kansas City Current (NWSL Shield winner), Club Am rica (Liga MX Femenil), Corinthians SC (Brazilian Serie A), and SE Palmeiras (Brazilian Serie A).

Thursday, April 9, 8 p.m. CT: Kansas City Current vs. Corinthians SC

Sunday, April 12, 5 p.m. CT: Third-place game

Sunday, April 12, 8 p.m. CT: Championship game

All four matches will also air locally on Scripps' The Spot - Kansas City 38, and over the air in English on 90.9 The Bridge and in English, Spanish, and Portuguese on the KC Current App.
