-- Gorilla Deploys Object Matrix Media Focused Private Cloud to Manage Growing Business Needs

Gorilla Post Production, one of the Europe's leading full service post production houses and a pioneer in advancing new broadcast technologies, is further investing in its 8 year relationship with Object Matrix. At the end of 2017 Gorilla procured over a petabyte of MaaS, the managed, media focused, private cloud service
The move to implementing the on-premise and off-premise managed service follows a sharp increase in projects for the post production company, meaning a need for larger storage capacities, increased operational efficiencies, whilst protecting and future proofing its content.
MaaS is underpinned by MatrixStore, the Digital Content Governance (DCG) and object storage solution that is protecting digital content globally for organisations that create, curate, process or distribute digital content. Gorilla will deploy its MaaS instance with up to 1 petabyte of on-premise capacity coupled with an equivalent amount hosted by Object Matrix, enabling it to implement a full disaster recovery and business continuity strategy.

Gorilla recently consolidated its operations into one location in the heart of Cardiff Bay. Without multiple sites of its own, the need to implement a disaster recovery solution off-site became an important issue for the business. MatrixStore automatically ensures content is protected on and off premises, is easily accessible through standard interfaces and can be browsed by the intuitive Vision web interface from Object Matrix.
The MaaS offering importantly enables organisations to implement strategic content protection plans using flexible OPEX commercial options.
