Beauty queen and actress Sibongile Gungu, who played Amahle in Showmax's drama series Adulting opens up about her character.

SIBONGILE GUNGU: AMAHLE IS THE OPPOSITE OF ME' The actress Sibongile Gungu's character Amahle appeared in Adulting as a psychology student, who fell in love with Vuyani (played by Luthando BU Mthembu)
Gungu tells Daily Sun that her character is the total opposite of who she is and she had so much fun with her.

She did a lot of things that I never did in varsity like talk to strangers, but I genuinely think she brought Vuyani back to life, she said.
She admits to the publication that she had her first naked scene in the series, where viewers saw her half-naked, showing off her breasts while enjoying a bubble bath with Vuyani.
It was my first naked/half-naked scene and I was okay with it because they provided an intimacy coach, which made it so much more easier and fun to play .

She adds that it wasn't hard for her because she knew what the show was about, which is how youngsters or people like us live, she had to be true to her character.
Gungu also reveals that her mother was the most supportive because she sat her down and explained what the show is about.
She' s always supported me and so did the rest of my family. They are the most supportive people I know.
BACKGROUND OF ADULTING' Adulting is an eight-part drama that follows the lives of four friends Thembinkosi Mthembu stars as Bonga, Luthando BU Mthembu plays Vuyani, Nhlanhla Kunene plays a hot-headed bad-boy Eric and Thabiso Rammusi plays Mpho.
It is 18SN rated, Dubbed the bromance of the decade', Adulting premiered on Showmax on 20 March.
According to TshisaLIVE, Adulting is the first Showmax Original from Tshedza Pictures, the production company behind The River, The Republic, etc.
Tshedza Pictures' co-founders Phathu Makwarela and Gwydion Beynon have won five Best Scriptwriting Safta awards in the last four years.
Thembinkosi praises Adulting's scripts. Every scene is funny and well-written, the pace is quick, and the scripts don't sugarcoat anything; there's no filter, he says.
