LiveU Expands AP Partnership with LU900Q Fleet and MAM Integration

LiveU has announced an expanded partnership with The Associated Press, deploying the largest fleet of LU900Q intelligent production units in the industry as part of a broader expansion that brings AP's global LiveU hardware fleet to over 100 encoders.

The deployment includes LiveU Ingest, LiveU Transceivers, and LiveU IQ connectivity across AP's global operations, supporting live newsgathering from conflict zones, major political events, and locations with limited or unpredictable connectivity. The LU900Q uses AI-driven connection management and eSIM technology to draw on mobile data networks globally.

AP has also integrated LiveU Ingest with its cloud-based MAM system, supporting up to 10 simultaneous live channels to speed content movement from field to distribution. AP is additionally transitioning its infrastructure to a SMPTE ST 2110 IP environment, deploying five LiveU servers alongside a dedicated SDI server. LiveU Transceivers enable AP to send and receive feeds with content providers as needed.
