MELBOURNE, FL/ROCHESTER, NY, November 28, 2012 Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), an international communications and information technology company, has received an $11 million order from the Ministry of Defence of a NATO country for the Falcon III Secure Personal Radio (SPR). The order is tied to a new framework contract, similar to an IDIQ, with the potential to reach $20 million over the next year. This nations armed forces are acquiring the Harris RF-7800S SPR, advanced headsets and other accessories to provide high-performance voice, integrated hearing protection, wideband data and situational awareness capabilities at the team, squad and platoon levels. The soldiers will be able to maintain voice communication in rapidly changing environments and situations, while seamlessly sharing data services and tracking the position of each team member. This soldier system program provides important new communication capabilities at the soldier level. The Harris SPR provides the best performance and best overall solution for team-based communications, with maximum range and voice quality.
