Calling all bookworms. More and more books are being turned into series and movies.

Here are nine books you'll want to read before they become your next screen obsession.

NINE BOOKS TO READ ASAP BEFORE THEY HIT SCREENS With the recent successes of series like House of the Dragon, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, and The Summer I Turned Pretty, more and more books are annually being turned into screen adaptations. And we are so here for it.

Just look at the raging success of series like Bridgerton, Big Little Lies and Normal People. They are all best-selling books successfully adapted into hit series, E!Online reports.

2023 seems to be the year of screen adaptations, and viewers are in for a treat. You should get your hands on a few of these books before they hit the screen.

DAISY JONES & THE SIX Based on the bestselling Taylor Jenkins-Reid novel with the same name, this faux documentary' stars Riley Keough, Sam Claflin, Suki Waterhouse, Camila Morrone, and Will Harrison. It tells the story of the rise and fall of a legendary '60s band and features original music. Produced by Reese Witherspoon, Daisy Jones & The Six will premiere on Amazon Prime.

KAY SCARPETTA Based on Patricia Cornwell's mega-popular crime series of the same name, Kay Scarpetta stars big screen royalty Nicole Kidman and Jamie Lee Curtis. Curtis bought the book rights in June 2021, and we can't wait to see the dynamic duo as sisters, E!Online reports.

WHITE HOUSE PLUMBERS The series is based on the book The White House Plumbers: The Seven Weeks That Led to Watergate and Doomed Nixon's Presidency by Egil Bud Krogh and Matthew Krogh. The five-episode series is expected to look at the events directly before, during, and after the Watergate scandal, with Harrelson and Theroux playing Nixon's political advisors (and inadvertent saboteurs) E. Howard Hunt and G. Gordon Liddy, respectively. The series will reportedly premiere on HBO in March.

LOVE AND DEATH Based on the book Evidence of Love: A True Story of Passion and Death in the Suburbs, Love and Death tells the story of a housewife-turned-murderer. The cast includes Elizabeth Olsen, Krysten Ritter, Jesse Plemons, Elizabeth Marvel, and Tom Pelphrey. And fans of the Hulu true crime drama Candy , will love this one. Catch it on HBO Max.

PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS Fans of The Lightning Thief, the first book in the beloved fantasy series by Rick Riordan, will enjoy this one. The cast includes stars like Walker Scobell, Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzoukas, Megan Mullally, and Timm Sharp. Fans will, unfortunately, have to wait until 2024 to get a glimpse of this one. It will be available on Disney .

AMERICAN BORN CHINESE Featuring Ben Wang, Michelle Yeoh, Yeo Yann Yann, Chin Han, and Stephanie Hsu, the series is based on the 2006 graphic novel by Gene Luen Yang. Viewers can get ready for an action series about a battle between Gods of Chinese mythology starring. American Born Chinese will premiere on Disney .

THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME Based on the 2021 best-selling novel by Laura Dave, The Last Thing He Told Me sees Alias star, Jennifer Garner, search for her missing husband. The drama series produced by Reese Witherspoon will premiere on Apple TV and star Garner, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, and Angourie Rice.

THE POWER Based on the 2016 novel by Naomi Alderman with the same name, The Power stars names like Auli'i Cravalho, John Leguizamo, Halle Bush, Toheeb Jimoh, Daniela Vega, Nico Hiraga and Ria Zmitowicz. Imagine a world in which every teenage girl in the world develops the power to electrocute people at will, and it's something that can't be taken away from them. Now imagine if they learn how to awaken that ability in older women as well, E!Online reports. The Power will premiere on Amazon Prime Video.

THREE WOMEN Based on the non-fiction bestseller of the same name by Lisa Taddeo, Three Women stars Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin, DeWanda Wise, Gabrielle Creevy, Blair Underwood, and Sean Meehan. As one of the most relevant books of 2019, the series will explore female desire as it follows a trio of women who are on a crash course to overturn their lives radically, E!Online reports. Although Showtime initially canceled the show despite production already being completed, the streaming service to premier the series is still to be announced.
