Junior Video Curator / Social Position

Are you a go-getting individual who is constantly on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Vine, YouTube, Buzzfeed, Mashable, TechCrunch, Reddit, Pulse, Flipboard. How would you like to get paid to watch and curate video content all day, every day, event nights too? Select relevant videos for the day

Make selections for top videos of the day with a blurp about why it made our staff pick list

Actively engage in all social media communities on our platforms, share videos that will lead people back to our website

Contribute to brain storms on grouping content together e.g. Easter, Oscars etc

The website runs seven days a week so weekend work is a requirement

Attend daily content meetings for updates

Daily community reports - so we know what is happening in the communities (comments, trends, stats and figures)

Daily newsletters, perhaps we start once a week for now and only highlight the best of the week clips on a Wednesday: nicely in the middle of the week

Monthly reports on upcoming content and how well the previous months content has performed - so we constantly improve on what weve done and learn from the previous month

The closing date for applications is Thursday, 13 March 2014

Proactive, emotionally mature, takes direction well, creative and has an eye for detail, tenacious and must understand why a video goes viral or doesnt - or at least have an informed opinion about it!

Video editing capabilities will be a bonus

Will suit a recent graduate with one year working experience in a television environment

If you run your own website or log or YouTube channel successfully, a bonus too

A sense of humour, an eye for design, responsible and passionate
