Mammoth Screen have produced the two most popular new dramas of the year with Poldark and Black Work recording the highest share rating of any series' openers so far!
Poldark, a Cornish saga based on the Winston Graham novels, adapted by Debbie Horsfield and starring Aidan Turner, saw its first episode pull in 8.7 million viewers and a 29% share.
Black Work, a three-part crime thriller written by Matt Charman, directed by Michael Samuels and starring Sheridan Smith, recorded 8.1 million viewers and a 31% share.
