British brand moves to Uli Behringers umbrella company
Innovative British mic company Aston have been acquired by Behringer parent company Music Tribe. The move will see Aston join a number of other British brands under the Music Tribe umbrella, among them Midas, Klark Teknik, Tannoy and Turbosound.
About the move, Music Tribe founder and CEO Uli Behringer says: We have been continuously pursuing a microphone brand that complements the mixing console, processing, amplification and loudspeaker excellence offered by these historic brands. Throughout our search, Aston Microphones has clearly stood out as the ideal match because of their world-class brand, leading innovation and first-class team of people. We will invest heavily in positioning Aston Microphones at the very pinnacle of the industry and the Aston team will now equally have full access to Music Tribe's extensive resources and advanced automated system platforms in such areas as product engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and finance.
