ANEVIA PARTNERS WITH CEDEXIS TO PROVIDE KPIs IN A MULTI-CDN DEPLOYMENT 27 November 2014

Anevia, a global leader in the development of software infrastructure for delivering live television and video-on-demand services over the internet, announces a partnership with CDN load-balancing specialist Cedexis.

A newly signed agreement between the two companies sees Cedexis technology implemented by Anevia to enhance the quality-of-service monitoring capabilities of ViaMotion Plus. Integrating Cedexis technology into ViaMotion Plus now enables operators and broadcasters to collect in real-time the key performance indicators of multiple CDNs. These include performance, costs and availability. Each operator can then adapt the activities of the origin servers according to its preferred quality-of-service and quality-of-experience strategy.

Designed for use in catchup-TV, video on demand and cloud-based personal video recording, ViaMotion PLUS can be used to deliver live and file-based video to and from multiple content delivery networks for viewing over a wide-range of devices. Its capabilities include packaging, streaming and recording, all controlled from a single suite of software. Third-party encoders, multiple content delivery networks and multiple digital rights management systems are all supported.
