Presteigne Charter, one of the world's leading broadcast dry hire and system rental specialists, has recently moved to larger premises situated close to Gatwick with its excellent transportation links, essential for the global deployment of equipment and technical staff.

The interior planning of Units 2 & 3 Manor Gate started long before the property became occupied by Presteigne Charter. The previous premises, just next door at Unit 4, had become noticeably too small to house both equipment and engineers, leading to the additional expense of further storage units being rented out and the logistics of travelling between the sites. Large projects, such as the French Open and Americas Cup, are now much easier to manage, thanks to the additional space, and staff are able to work shorter hours as they can now operate more effectively, and therefore more quickly, than previously.

In a move born out of necessity, the new building has warehouse facilities exceeding twice the square footage of the previous premises (around 50,000 sq ft compared to 15,000 sq ft), strategically structured to encourage an effective enablement of resources with enhanced store flow.

The large area has been critically planned and refined to enable the most exacting and time-critical stipulations and staff utilise the latest technology to meet customer demands wherever in the world they are specified. The warehouse incorporates a 6,000 sq ft mezzanine floor for the storage of equipment and, on the ground floor, in critically and tactically designed enclosed areas, are the Technical and Engineering teams. Previously seated in an open plan area, the teams are finding the enclosed areas encourage production without the distractions an open environment brings.
