The Nobody Zone | New original podcast series for RT

The Nobody Zone, a brand new original podcast series for RT has just launched online. Diving into a world of homelessness, violence and alcoholism on the streets of London in the 1970s and 80s, The Nobody Zone shines a light into the darkest corners of civilisation, where people who slip through the safety net never stop falling down, and where one more body on the streets barely raises an eyebrow.

A co-production between RT 's Documentary On One in Ireland, and Third Ear Productions in Denmark, this podcast features something never previously heard anywhere, from anyone - the confession tape of an Irish serial killer. A true crime story that's both bizarre and at times hard to believe, it's taken almost five years to piece together and while the story of Kieran Patrick Kelly is very much a live investigation, you will be hooked from the very beginning of this 6 part podcast series, The Nobody Zone.

The Nobody Zone is written and narrated by Tim Hinman together with Krister Moltzen from the multi-award winning podcast Third Ear, along with Rob Mulhern and the internationally acclaimed multi-award winning team at RT 's Documentary on One.

In 2015, the London Metropolitan Police reopened the case files of Kieran Patrick Kelly, a convicted killer from Ireland. It was claimed the British Government covered up multiple murders committed by Kelly around London between 1953 and 1983. Those claims were made by a retired police officer who said Kelly confessed to 31 murders, but was only convicted of two.

The Nobody Zone will publish weekly, for six weeks, starting from today, Tuesday 18th February with each episode available to download from all podcast platforms. The Nobody Zone will be offered in five languages including English, with bilingual versions in Danish, Spanish, German and a very special Irish language version in association with RT Raidi na Gaeltachta (a first for RT to release a production in multiple languages, incl English and Irish). Distribution support is from Acast. An Audio Cinema version of the podcast series will also be made available via the RT Player and on YouTube.
