Mistika and Mamba FX will be showcased at the SGO Booth 8B09 at BIRTV (Beijing International Radio, TV and Film Equipment Exhibition) held at the CIEC in Beijing from 27 - 30 August. BIRTV provides an inspiring platform for creatives featuring leading-edge technology in a rapidly growing marketplace, attended by over 55 000 people across the world.
Powerfully different, Mistika is recognised as the most potent finishing and grading system for projects at any resolution and frame rate, including 4K at 60P and stereoscopic 3D. Mistikas diverse and versatile creative toolset is not restricted to 4K and is already able to provide for 8K post production pipelines. SGO will preview the new Mistika version 8.2 software at BIRTV which includes many new and unique features such as their in-context node based compositing capability and the incredible Spatial Isolation Toolset, which was unveiled for the first time at NAB in April this year.
Customers visiting the SGO booth 8B09 will witness Mistikas stunning performance with mixed resolution raw camera files on the same timeline in real-time. Also on show will be Mistikas next-generation colour finishing functionalities supporting the Precision Grading Panels. Other new features include support for Dolby Vision, improved ACES workflows, enhanced AAF support, Dolby Atmos DCP generation and support for an even wider range of image codecs such as Canons RMF, Sonys XAVC and ProRes 4:4:4:4. To meet high customer demand for the new toolset, Mistika 8.2 will also be launched this August, prior to IBC, with a preview of the next version 8.4 being demonstrated at IBC.
Redefining VFX, Mamba FX provides unlimited compositing layers in a resolution-free, node-based environment, running on Windows, Linux and now also on Mac. Main headlines for Mamba FX 2.0 include the Layer Route Effect for working with multi-layer EXR files; a Spatial Isolation Keyer interfacing with metadata and the high-speed, point cloud shape tracker, enabling compositors to speedily track 2D roto-shapes to shots.
SGO is delighted to attend BIRTV again this year in an exciting and vital market, and we continue to make our customer requirements a priority focus in the region and abroad, in order to provide the best creative technology that the industry demands. says SGOs CEO Miguel Angel Doncel.
Chinese companies already adopting Mistika include the Xuke 3D team, Guangxi TV, The China Academy of Broadcasting and Planning, Royia Media Group, JiangSu TV, Xian Changqing TV, Goldrose Media, PPO Group, Phenom China and many others.
Global credits span every type of production from commercials for Emirates Airlines, television drama for BSkyB to feature films such as Peter Chans American Dreams in China, Flying Swords of Dragon Gate, Young Detective Dee: Rise of the Sea Dragon, Edge of Tomorrow, Stalingrad, The Hobbit Trilogy, Switch, Transformers: Age of Extinction, Walking With Dinosaurs (for BBC Earth), The Amazing Spiderman 2 and many others. Mistika also played a major role in David Attenborough's Natural History Museum Alive (3D) 4K film which received a BAFTA TV Award.
